The brief Sportech has entered a new phase in its business lifecycle. Through the acquisition of SGR, overnight the scale and breadth of Sportech's operations have dramatically grown. It is now a leading international pools and sports gaming company with a presence in over 30 countries, with 1,000 employees in various international locations as well as business customers, consumers, journalists and investors. To reflect Sportech's growth and increasing international reach, a complete update of Sportech's corporate website was required.
What we did Throughout
the planning and implementation of the site, our aim was to successfully present Sportech's corporate personality, provide a more engaging website, adhere to all industry and IR best practice guidelines, SEO and accessibility standards, encourage two way communication with all key users, build a site which could be managed internally via a content management system and evaluated using analytics and enhance the media capability of the site. The result was a content rich website, with interactive banners, live news feeds from BBC Sports and the London Stock Exchange, an interactive map and timeline, links to many partner and brand sites and additional tools and features such as Excel downloads of key financial data. We wanted to provide a more engaging website, which was more fresh, dynamic, timely and interesting for the end user. Both the online team and the client are very pleased with the end result. We have provided CMS training so that the client can amend the site themselves but we continue to review the site each month to ensure it remains future proof.
